Memorial Day Service Concert, Parade and Democracy Action

Join us for the Charleston Concert Band and Columbia Community Band's annual Memorial Day concert (part of Piccolo Spoleto) in Hampton Park, where Memorial Day began 160 years ago when 10,000 recently freed Charlestonians ~ led by children throwing flowers and singing patriotic songs - gathered to honor fallen Union soldiers who courageously fought for freedom.
